- About:
- Anomie en Masse suggests that the path of human civilization, through the advancement of technology, has taken us to a thin line between reality and illusion. Ease of accessibility in resources, information and communication has driven us to a headspace where everything is disposable. The speed of consumption has caused a constant dissatisfaction and disconnection with the real world surrounding us.
Anomie en Masse was originally commissioned for the 2017 Future Tellers Exhibition by Zorlu PSM and Digi.Logue. The participants were asked to reflect upon the future and how they envision it.
Eren Başbuğ is a Turkish multi-award-winning keyboardist, conductor, arranger and composer. He has worked with platinum-selling progressive metal band Dream Theater, with keyboardist Jordan Rudess - voted “Best Keyboardist of All Time” by Music Radar Magazine, and with seven-time Grammy award-winning saxophonist Paul Winter.
“Anomie en Masse” contains the instrumental electronic piece by the same name, and also “Anomic Polarity”, the reinvention of the same song by the hands of Colombian producer 28 Lines. Together they are Başbuğ’s first double single under the Music Dribble Entertainment record label.
