About:
Kris Williams is a British born, Madrid dweller and manifestor of inner worlds in sound form.

Inspired by sound-system experiences and weighty grooves etched into body memory, he produces with two principal factors, space and bass.

The slower pace of his tunes allowing time for the bass to swell and bubble up to the surface between beats.
Painting pictures of vast cavernous underground castles carved from crystal, his music methods produce physical spaces for the listener to inhabit while providing the grounding bass to get down to.

A constantly evolving sound manifested from ever developing techniques and ideas, he finds inspiration in found sounds and float tank sessions, always reaching for the unknown and unheard.

Whale, his debut release with PeeQ Records, is an apt spirit beast for this weighty EP swimming in the heavy-pressure depths of the ocean occasionally surfacing for light and air.
The common theme of Kris Williams’s techno style is: space and bass. Spanning tempos from the slow-loving, zoned out, locked in 4am crew of 100bpm to the faster DJ-friendly tempo of 120bpm.
The bass carving out wormholes through unearthly realms and daring us to enter, exposing us to new spaces, and inviting bodies to move.
Whale: A Slow Techno Journey, Part 1 is set to resonate among lovers of dub and bass, Andy Stott and Ambient Aphex Twin and invites you to get down to some ridiculously 'obese-fishy' grooves.
